About Ms. Motorcars
We understand what the dealer has to do to earn your business. We also
understand that cars are still primarily a man's business. We constantly hear
from women, (and some men too) just how unpleasant their car buying
experience has been, and how they dread the process when they need a car.
Part of this frustration is not understanding the structure of a deal. There are so
many papers to sign at delivery. This can be overwhelming for a buyer. And with
the reputation of dealers, people often feel like they're getting ripped off.
We help customers purchase vehicles with sound negotiating techniques that
can save you thousands of dollars. I believe you have better ways to spend your
hard earned money than on unnecessary add-ons, inflated interest rates and
unnecessary insurance policies.

"Ms. Motorcars is a welcome source of support for women shopping for a
new or used car. Many women are intimidated by the complexity of today's
cars and the buyer-beware nature of the car business.
Surveys show that car buyers often quickly regret the deal they made - not
necessarily over the car they acquired but over the feeling they paid too much
for it.
Minorities are charged more. Why?

A Message From Joy Sherman
My grandfather started his first dealership in Connecticut in 1925 with a
simple philosophy in mind: Treat customers like members of your family,
with honesty and respect and they will remain your customers.
His son, my father, went on to open dealerships of his own. Two of my
uncles as well as several cousins, all had dealerships of their own. It's no
wonder I became involved in this business.
I attended Northwood Institute and received my certification in dealership
management. I started in the business delivering vehicles to our customers.
I became very familiar with the paperwork involved. I worked in new and used
vehicle management, then in the service department. As I moved into
different jobs within the dealership, I always took care of our customers.
Where ever they needed assistance, I was always there to help. With over 15
years of experience, my customers saw a level of competence and trust
which continues today.
"I come to each deal with a level of compassion and integrity and the
strong desire to help people through a sometimes difficult experience."

Data shows women and minorities typically
pay 2 percent more for cars than white
consumers when buying automobiles at a
dealership.
The same study also found that women pay
more than men do when buying cars at
dealerships.
